Daniel gazed around. His eyes took in the bright sunlight reflecting off the snow. It was starting to get uncomfortable in the tree stand. He was about to call it quits, when suddenly he saw a dark figure out the corner of his eye. It was a deer. Quickly, he looked at the buck through his scope, lined up the crosshairs and... KABOOM! It was a sure hit, but the deer wasn't dead. It took off through the snow with a limp. Daniel ejected the shell out and it fell to the ground. He quickly put another shell in and looked up. The deer was gone. Knowing the deer would die soon, Daniel climbed down from the tree. He started walking toward where he shot. Daniel walked a little further. He bent and picked up a leaf and studied it. The leaf was drenched in thick red, blood. He looked up and noticed a trail of steaming red spots. He followed the path with a pounding heart. Soon, he noticed the deer laying in the snow. Daniel looked to the sky and called out "WOO HOO!" Running through the snow back to the cabin, he was thrilled. He jumped in his truck and floored it back to the deer. Filled with adrenaline, he put the deer in the truck triumphently and drove quickly home.

Mandie gazed around. Her eyes took in the colors of the small cabin with deep colored wood with the snow covered roof and the snow capped trees above. She had begun to re-call the prolems she had been having in her life at home. She reminded herself again of how much she truly needed this break. She looked out across the snow covered hills, and everything bad just seems to slip from her troubled mind. Mandie took a few steps closer. She bent and picked up a handful of pure white mountain snow and studied it. She removed her glove only for a moment to feel the soft and fluffy, but extremely cold texture of the beautiful white snow. The snow melted almost instantly when it barely touched the palm of her hand. She throws the puddle of water and replaces her glove. Mandie looked at the sky and called out, "Thank you, God. The one and the only Almighty. Thank you for each breath my lungs breathe, and the feet that have brought me here to this beautiful land. I am forever greatful and blessed Eternally." -Mandie Rutherford W7

As the door creaked open, a howling wind blew by carrying snow and sent shivers down his spine. Standing in front of him was a tall, largely built man. He was layered thick in clothing.
