  4. I think tha making everyone equal would make the world better because most people are rude and inconsiderate to others. Those people dont think of others and how they would feel or react to the things that they do. In some ways i think that ONLY the people who make jokes and laugh should be the ones who are to have something done to them to were they look or feel the same as that person or worse.

  5. I think that everyone should be equal and should be treated equally. Everything would be so much better and it would change the world. Some people in this world dont think of what they are doing to other people.

  6. The author is probably trying to show that if everyone were equal nothing would be right. Some people would end up getting killed like in the story. After the people in the story take their masks and weights off some people get shot.

  7. I think that the author doenst think everyone should be equal... if everyone was equal we would all be the same all the time and there would not be much to live for in life... there for by showing us how the people in the story acted i think that is how the author feels because everyone is not equal... and i dont think we will all ever be the same, wich in my opinion is a very good thing

  8. I think the author thinks that being equal would be wrong. If everyone was equal then no one would be different. If everyone was the same then i think that people would end up getting killed like they did in the story for rebelling against it.

  9. I think that the author is against Complete equality. The story shows that things go wrong when we are all equal. I believe we are all equal, to a certain degree. The concept can be took to far.

  11. Harrison Bergon is a hypocritical story that infuriated me It tried to show an over extremed version of equal rights, God did create us equal but we are not clones, ans this story exhibits that. ~Judy Campbell

  12. I think that if eveyone was treated equally. That there wouldn't be any chaos to the world. And especially if someone murders someone then like the president kills someone the president should get the same consequence.

  13. the auther is thanking that everyone shouldnt be equal if it was everyone would act and fill the same way and i thanks thats stupied.we well all never be the same and no one is equal and i thank the auther only wrote the story because he fills that way about the world and wished everything was equal

  15. In the story: Harrison Bergeron, the author doesn't basically think everybody should be, "equal". The reason why I say that, is because if we all were equal, then we would all be the same. When I think of everybody not being equal, it's them being unique. In my case of thought, everyone has there own self/person. The other thing I think, is that we all will never be the sam. That is my opinion.

  16. Its a world where everybody has to be the same. Even smarter people have to wear earpeices to make them seem average. Made them as weak, dumb, and ugly as each other.

  17. The government tries to make people equal so they say they are a bunch of cheapscates. Not everone should be equal and no one really ever will be there is some people with more money than others. Money talks bull crap walks. "Chris Craig"

  18. i think i agree with Roach. in my opinion and what the message sounds like in my point of view is that he doesnt want everything to be equal. but then again he wants people to see the kind of people that make fun and be out and out idiots tot hose who are less fortunate than them.

  20. I think that most everyone was treated equal.I think that they did right trying to make everyone the same,by making the strong people wear things that made them weak. Eveyone should be treated the same but there should be some exceptions.

  21. The author probably thinks it would be a little chaotic. An example in the story to support this include Harrison breaking the law and removing all the equipment he had to wear.

  25. i dont think the author is for complete equality becuase the author told us bout how the things went wrong in the story and ia gree no one is created equal and i dont think it should be people work for what they have and if anotherp eson doesnt liek that then that jut means for the other person who doesnt have what sumone else has to work that much harder

  26. I think the author wanted evryone to be equal because the ones that was not slow had to wear all this equipment to make them slow so they wouldnt stand out.

  27. It would be difficult to make everyone equal because the government would need people who where differnt to monitor the other people so they couldnt do any thing extra odinary so the people monitoring would have to be smart and fast therfor making them different

  28. The author probably feels that the government is trying too hard to make everyone feel and seem equal. Everyone is not equal we are different in almsot everyway. If your are rich you are snobby and grow up clean and if a rich person sees a poor person then they freak out. The government has no control over this, it is human nature.

  31. I think it would be very hard to make everyone equal. Because everyone is different from each other in good ways and bad. I think the author wants everyone to be equal for many reasons, not that i agree with the author. But in someways it would be nice if some people were equal.

  32. In this story i dont agree with some of it i do belive people should be some what equal. And the author i think belives that to. I think he is showing the world what would be like if it was all equal. In a way there is no point in life exspecially some of the people in the story that was so unhappy. Everyone being equal in every single was obviously wasn't right people were killed at the end of the story. It wasn't a happy ending and everyone ended up not being equal.

  36. The author beleives that if the society/government was to make everybody equal that would take way past extreme. They would make everybody dumb so no one can be smarter than anyone else and no body could use their special talents they all had to suck at what they would be doing. So the author thinks that the society/government would screw everything up.

  39. I think the author believes that everyone should be treated equally, but not that equally.! People have there differences. We all should not be controlled over the government. We all are not the same and will not be. WE all have special traits about us that others do not and the government should not be in control of those traits and make us like others.

  45. I think the author might believe that if everyone were equal, it might be more boring, less spontaneous. Entertainment would be lacking excitement because everyone would be forced to be the same. Maybe he believes that if we all believed we were equal in our minds, but not physically, literally equal, it would be better off. It seems either way that he thinks equality enforced especially by the government would be a mess.

  47. I think the author means that he wants the world to be equal in terms of how they are treated, not what they came do. I think he clearly illustrates that equality is a good thing if you (or the government) don't take it too far. We still need our levels of differnece. (♥Danielle Pieros♥)

  53. I think the author means that everybody should be treatd the same but they should be allowed to express their thoughts and be treated as individuals. The author doesnt want to leave anyone out, but to be treated different. If someone comments a crime then that person should be punished and not everyone else.

  59. the author of the story is trying to show that making the world a better place comes with a price and that you cant get equality without something in return .like in the story how nobody was better than anyone so they inprisoned them for being who they are.so they should think about the price to pay and see if its worth it.

  60. I think makeing everybody eqaul is just stupid. Because if everybody was the same the world would just be boreing. I don't think that everyone would get along either because they would be tiered of being the same and it would just drive them insane. So I think it would be best if we all stayed how we are. But harris I think he thought the same way.

  63. Everyone one is equal. That is what this was about. This government didn't want nobody to be better than anyone else. So they knew they couldn't make everyone as smart as the smartest person was, so they made everyone as dumb as the dumbest person so that everyone could be equal. Well you can't all act the same way or life wouln't be any fun. I think thats what Harris was thinking to. I think that he thought that he could explain that to people then life would't be so boring.

  64. i think that the author was either bullied for being different or extremly jealous of others with talent, and thats what infleunced him into wanting to make everyone equal. Just like in the story the boy who was always stronger, smarter, and better, no matter how many restraints they put on him, and he gets killed! I don't believe that were all equal, i believe that god may have intended us to be, but then we wouldnt have personalities and everything would be lame & boring because it'd be like we were cloned.
